	I think of myself as a midwife as I provide psychotherapy and consultation to individuals, couples, families and organizations. My metaphorical midwifery facilitates the birth of new intimacy--intimacy with previously disowned parts of the self, with other humans, with non-humans, with the forces of nature, and with one's destiny or calling. Such intimacy heals deeply and provides context for the experience of meaning.
